Edison repo rebased to Release 3.5

It’s that time of the year! In view of Edison’s software release 3.5, I have rebased the repo to its sources. Don’t forget to run “opkg update” before installing any packages. In this release Intel has updated the Linux kernel (to 3.10.98) and Node.js (to 4.4.3) versions, among the most visible changes. Please note that my repo is not intended … Continue reading

Edison opkg package repo launched

I’ve just started a package repo for Edison in a similar manner I did one for Galileo. I think that should be a useful service for all board owners who don’t want to build their own images just to add a couple of packages into the OS. All the configuration instructions are here, community discussion thread is here – enjoy … Continue reading

New location for the package repo, with unlimited storage and traffic

Thanks to Daveman I now have a mirror of the repo on the hosting with unlimited storage and traffic. That’s going to be the primary repo going forward and I’ll keep a copy on this site just for the backup/failover purposes. I’ve already updated the configuration page, so please check it out and modify your settings accordingly. It should result … Continue reading

New packages in the repo

I’ve just added vim, rsync, Apache and mod_php packages into the repo. Vim is the latest 7.4 version, rsync, Apache and mod_php are from the Galileo’s BSP, so they’re a bit old (3.0.9, 2.4.3 and 5.4.14 respectively), but that’s at least something to start with. When I have some more time I’ll try to update these to the latest versions, … Continue reading
